ANAT MCDONALD
I have been driving for over 42years with experience in countries such as Israel, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, Brazil, Spain and too many more to mention. I have a passion for motorbikes, cars, trucks and anything with wheels and a motor. I am a member of the Australian Driver Trainer Association (Qld) and have been for the last twelve years.
I am the founder of Prince Driving School. In 2001 I achieved my driver trainer certificate where I taught my first student, my daughter who passed first go! I then went on to teach her classmates which expanded Prince Driving School to become a reputable driving school on the Gold Coast.
In 2003 my family and I moved to Maryborough where I reestablished Prince Driving School. I carefully select my instructors to maintain a high standard of teaching and continue the vision of getting Learners their Provisional License with minimum lessons packed with maximum knowledge.
I have three of my own children however it feels like I have thousands due to the close relationships I form with my students. I love my job, and the smile on their faces when they pass is priceless.
RORY MCDONALD
I started riding motorcycles at age 8…and driving cars and trucks at 9. I raced motocross, called scrambles then at age 15. At 18 I moved into Grand Prix motorcycles and production racing for the next 8 years. I worked for Frank Matich as the National Sales Manager for Bell and AGV Helmets and Pirelli motorcycle tyres before moving to Queensland to run Dunlop Motorcycle Racing.
During these years I travelled to Europe, the UK and the USA with racing activities and product tours. I have worked with some of the greats, Wayne Gardner, Mick Doohan, Gregg Hansford, Warren Willing, John Harvey, Peter Brock and Dick Johnson to name but a few.
20years ago the urge to race had bitten again so I went back but this time in Historic Touring cars and then stepped up to a Van Dieman Formula 2 open wheel race car. Currently I run my 2A Sports Honda Zot which has a Suzuki Twin Cam engine sitting where the back seat used to be and it is a little bit exciting to say the least.
I believe the young drivers of today need to be able to access some sort of extra road tuition to improve their awareness and road skills and will be developing a one day Defensive driving course to pass on some of the expertise on road craft I have gained throughout my racing exploits.
SHY PRINCE
Growing up with a multitude of cars in the family garage for both business and pleasure, it was a natural progression that I too, would eventually become a driving instructor. I have always had a love for anything with wheels and adventures in the outdoors. In my spare time I enjoy dirt bike riding, fishing and camping with my family.
My driving career first began with gaining a B double license 15years ago. Driving various specialised transportation trucks at the mines throughout Qld, I gained extensive knowledge on road safety and familiarity with auto-mechanics.
In my return to Maryborough to settle down and start my beautiful family, I am so excited to transfer my industry knowledge into a great teaching program for Fraser Coast drivers. I believe every driver should be armed with not just the road rules, but the knowledge of safe and effective driving techniques.
